Database Syncing is a feature that allows you to manually sync the database when data is not automatically syncing to the system or POS.
Note: This is useful if the POS does not reflect changes from the Back Office or Mobile Application, often due to an unstable internet connection or server issues.
Setting #
- Open the Settings menu by selecting the Cog button on the top right of the main menu screen.
Database Sync #
Click Database Sync to open the synchronization menu.
Tender Database #
Select Tender Database if changes to tender and payment methods were made from the back office.
- Loading Screen: Displays the syncing process.
- Checkmark: Indicates completion of the synchronization process.
Employee Database #
Select Employee Database if there were changes to employee roles or data from the Back Office.
- Loading Screen: Displays the syncing process.
- Checkmark: Indicates completion of the synchronization process.
Item Database #
Select Item Database if changes to items were made or new items added from the back office.
- Loading Screen: Displays the syncing process.
- Checkmark: Indicates completion of the synchronization process.
Order Database #
Select Order Database to sync or retrieve transaction data from the Back Office.
- Loading Screen: Displays the syncing process.
- Checkmark: Indicates completion of the synchronization process.
Sales Database #
Select Sales Database if changes to promotions were made in the Back Office.
- Loading Screen: Displays the syncing process.
- Checkmark: Indicates completion of the synchronization process.
Customer Database #
Select Customer Database if changes to customer details were made or a new customer was added from the Back Office.
- Loading Screen: Displays the syncing process.
- Checkmark: Indicates completion of the synchronization process.
Select Whole Database #
Select Whole Database to sync all database types, including Tender, Employee, Item, Order, Sales, and Customer databases.
- Authentication: A 6-digit code appears as a security measure for authorized users.
- Loading Screen: Displays syncing of various types.
- Notification: Indicates successful syncing, along with a checkmark.
Other Setup #
Customer Screen #
The Customer Display Screen shows customers information about their purchases, allowing verification of scanned items.
Visibility Button #
Toggle the button to display or hide cart screen data while ringing up items.
Customer Screen Control #
Use toggles to show/hide specific data on the customer screen, including:
- Item Surcharge
- Card Surcharge Label
- Item List
- Subtotal
- Discount
- Tax
- Remove Card Total
- Show Saving Amount
Customer Screen Logo #
You can upload a store logo or advertising information to display on your customer screen.
- Uploading Logo: Select the ‘R’ Logo on the right of the screen.
- Selecting Logo: Navigate to the saved image location and select the desired image.
- Save: Click the Save button to apply changes.
